The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), in cooperation with the International Trade Administration of the U.S. Department of Commerce and the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, will hold two Driving Entrepreneurial Growth symposia in Kolkata and New Delhi. The programs will bring together experts from business, academia, and Indian state and federal government to discuss the pro-growth policies needed to help create a more favorable entrepreneurial climate. The symposia participants will develop policy recommendations that can be used to craft laws and regulations that will encourage the formation and expansion of high-growth businesses. Subject areas will include Legal and Regulatory Reform, Innovation, Capital Formation, and Entrepreneurial Education.

In Kolkata, the focus will be on the development and sponsorship of pro-entrepreneurial policies and ideas in West Bengal, the Northeast, and throughout India. At the conclusion of the program, hosted by TiE’s Kolkata chapter, the participants will present the recommendations to local policy makers.

In New Delhi, the program will focus on pro-entrepreneurial policies at the national level. This event will be co-sponsored by TiE’s Delhi chapter and the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce.

Participants will also be asked to explore interest in establishing an ongoing entrepreneurship initiative that would help energize and organize an effective platform for pro-entrepreneurship policies in India.
